When we originally purchased this car, The plan was to acquire a reliable but attractive daily driver for my father. He always wanted a Z. After starting the project with my father I developed a passion for the car. Following the initiation of the project, MSNBC aired a special titled "BMW A Driving Obsession" this took it a step further . I felt it would be a disrespect to BMW to build less than a perfect car. My first goal was to remedy the OEM Cooling issues with the Z series, this was resolved by upgrading the thermostat, thermostat housing and contracting Zionsville Motorsports to custom build an All Aluminum Radiator to OEM Specs. Then I started to make plans for modifications to achieve the desirable but tasteful appearance. I won't bore you with the details…. $$$$Thousands of dollars later.. The photos tell the rest of the story. I spared no expense while assembling this fine piece of BMW Engineering, After loosing my father I stored the car, only taking it for short drives on occasional weekends. Due to recent changes in my life I’m offering the car for sale. The car drives, handles and runs excellent! I am sadly selling my MOST AWESOME Z3. It's gorgeous, and way too many new parts to mention, but I will mention only 6,000 miles on the Re-built Engine. This one is the 6 cylinder 2.8 engine, not the weaker 1.9 4 cyl. This car drives like a DREAM - smoooooth, fast, corners like you wouldn't believe, and it's gorgeous black. Newer registration, new tires in the back, newer battery, newer top. In fact I have large file folder with all the new BMW parts that are in the car, so you will absolutely know what you are getting. The body has no dents or scratches, the paint is exceptional. It has a CD changer in the trunk. The only faults with this car is a slightly damaged plastic front lower-bumper cover - you can get a new one on EBay for $190. I can send you a close-up of it if needed. Also the driver seat has some tears. Why am I selling this most awesome car? I bought this BMW about 4 years ago because my husband didn't want me to buy the vintage Volkswagen that I really wanted (he said they were too dangerous, and of course he's right). Well, a friend just sold me his 1970 convertible bug, so now the Beemer just has to go. This car is sexy, fast, gorgeous and looks A LOT more expensive than what I'm asking for it.
